Inspired

You all have inspired me with your sweet comments from yesterday. I decided to open an Etsy shop! I'm very excited. I just love these little onesies. Even if I don't sell anything it has been fun to have a new project to concentrate on, especially since Ty is in full force study mode for finals. But I hope I sell something! Otherwise I am going to have a lot of onesies to give as presents! :)

I made this one last night. I had lots of plans to make a few more girly ones, but I'm out of white thread and only have one more onesie left. (I bought a 4 pack.) I need to make a trip to the store, but I hate getting out to run errands after work. It's so dark and feels so late!

Go visit my shop and tell everyone you know to buy a cute little onesie from me! :)

New Project: onesies

Remember me talking about the craft show that I went to a few weekends ago? Well, when I was there I bought a onesie for Ty's nephew for his birthday. My cousin also bought one for her little boy. They were the cutest things. I got home and decided that I could make that. Why not? Those sewing lessons that I took last year with Whitney have to be put to good use!

The onesies that Tara and I bought were Carter's, which she informed me was a good baby brand. Something about the thickness. I set out to buy some and some cute fabric. I set to work on them last night. Here's the results:
What do you think? A cute, little tie on a baby!
I couldn't stop at the tie. I love my little weenie dog (dachshund), but I do not own any weenie dog paraphanelia, but I couldn't pass up on making this.

I have lots of things in mind for little girl ones! I can't wait to try them out tonight. Tell me what you think! Would you buy one of these for a little one in your life? Maybe as a Christmas present or for a shower? I'm sorta, kinda playing with the idea of selling them.

Can't I have one more day off??

I had 3 days off for Thanksgiving break which meant 5 days without working. Is it bad that I would like one more day at home?? :)
Ty and I had a great Thanksgiving. We spent it at his grandparents house this year. He is one of 4 children. Everyone made it to his grandparents house except for his brother, because he and his wife, Sarah, just had a baby and it was their year with her parents. We missed them! Our rotations are opposite of them. We really need to get on the same year. Ty's oldest sister, Amy, and her family all ended up getting sick while we were at the grandparents house. We all felt so bad for them. It was a pretty quiet Thanksgiving with the little ones sick.
We played lots of games. I love card games, domino games, board games--you name it, I love it. Ty's grandparents have a game called Wahoo. It is so much fun. I just need to throw in here that the girls {Heather (Ty's little sis) and I} won. We were playing Ty and Jesse. Heather's fiance, Jesse, was at Thanksgiving this year too. They are such a cute couple.

Late Thursday night we headed to our hometown to stay at Ty's parents house. The next day, Sarah and the new baby came over for lunch. Ty and I were so excited to see him. He is so cute!

We headed home Friday night and went to sleep early. I woke up about 1 a.m. with the stomach virus that had plagued Amy, Brent, Lillian and Lucas. It was awful! I thought I was in the clear because I felt so good on Friday. No such luck. I was sick all night and the next day. I spent all day Saturday in bed. I had to miss out on going to Stilly for Bedlam. Ty had a ticket and I was just going to spend time with my cousin, Tara and her baby. At least Ty hasn't gotten sick! I think he is the clear. Let's hope so, because finals start Friday! Besides the getting sick part it was a great Thanksgiving!
