I feel weird even posting something like this, because I never blog anymore and comments are rare now that we all read from our phones. But, I thought I would give it a shot. I've always turned to my blog for past travels and gotten great recommendations!
We are heading to Boston (with Jack) and Seattle (without Jack) for conferences and making vacations out of them in the next couple of months. Anyone have recommendations for things to do in Boston with Jack? Has anyone done a touristy duck tour? We are thinking that might be an easy way for us to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time with a toddler. Tours are around 65 minutes. I'm not sure we could do much longer with him.
What about Seattle? Any great brunch places? Anything we must see.

I never comment on blogs but there's a few Seattle things I can help with! There are duck tours here too if you like them, I have never done it though. The space needle view is amazing but the restaurant is overpriced. The BEST brunch is at Portage Bay. So good. Any Tom Douglas restaurant is also yummy. There are lots of fun neighborhoods here- I love Ballard. It's just north of downtown and has a great Sunday market (year round). The Wall Street journal just did a great travel guide to seattle also. You should try Paseos. They have amazing sandwiches.

DeleteI'm from Seattle & live here as well. The Ride The Duck tour is so much fun! It is full of great information about our city, all while getting to drive through the city and hear about Seattle's history. Highly recommended. Also, EMP (Experience Music Project) is fun as well if you and your hubby like music. Or take a ferry ride to one of the Islands. Makes for a fun day trip. Good luck and have fun!

DeleteBoston has a wonderful children's museum, science museum, and an aquarium, all of which would be great if the weather isn't cooperative. The duck boat tours are definitely fun, and you will see a lot. If the whales are still making appearances (this year they are reportedly more active) , a whale watching tour is always a hit with little kids. Dependent on when you go, there are also usually some fun things in the Boston Commons (carousel rides, ice skating) which is also just a great place to let little kids run and stretch their legs! And if he is a little boy who likes boats/ships, taking a tour of the USS CONSTITUTION is a fast/free option which is part of Boston's Freedom Trail.
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from Seattle! Such a fun place! You guys need to do the underground tour...only about an hour and cool/interesting. Also, a DELICIOUS restaurant is Palace Kitchen at 5th and Lenora. Their cheeseburger is the best i have ever had! There are many other options as well!
