(Ty is studying for boards, so it probably isn't accurate of me to use "we" in the above sentence.)
No plans, no big projects, no rushing--just relaxation. I was bored and it was fabulous.
Ty and I have been paying for the lowest cable plan possible for the last two years, but have been receiving a better package. That ended a couple of weeks ago and I'm refusing to pay $60 more a month. Yes, I'm being cheap, but in order to be able to put any money into savings on our med school budget I'm refusing to pay for tv channels. :) Instead, we signed up for Netflix.
Things that made my weekend wonderful:
I have become obsessed with this show and can't wait for my next disc to arrive in the mail.
We started watching The Tudors, because it is an instant watch through the internet. Ty & I don't agree on too many shows, but this is one we both enjoy.
I'm loving the fruit and veggie stand by our house.

ReplyDeleteOoooo I didn't know that The Tudors was on Watch Instantly on Netflix!!! YAY! This just made my day b/c we have been watching Season 1 on the discs but like to spread them out which leaves us with a disc for several weeks... now we can watch and have a fun movie at home! Thanks!

You will love Netflix! We don't pay for cable or satellite or anything, other than Netflix. That may change once football season starts, but for now, it works. Glad you had a wonderful weekend without plans!

ReplyDeleteAnd, don't forget about hulu. They have lots of TV stuff on the day after it comes out. And, you can always come over here because we have every channel known to man. Its like my baby blanket. Once school starts its not like anyone is ever sitting in front of the big TV watching it. Please make it feel not so lonely! :)

A month after getting married we cut our cable and I am so happy that we did. I find myself being productive with my time and not wasting it on mindless reality shows. But I do love my Netflix! And I'm with Megan...you need to watch FNL next :)

I'm sick of paying for extended cable, but I have a son who will be three in October and all of the preschool only channels are on extended cable. Sneaky. I tried to look at their website (Netflix), but I don't think that I'm seeing the full selection.
