giveaway!!

It is time for me to do a giveaway! Yay! I have been very lucky at winning giveaways this year and it is time to pass that on to someone else.

One lucky person will win a monogrammed oilcloth lunch sack:
I have not purchased the lunch sack yet, since it will be personalized with the winner's monogram. So this is not the exact design.
I take my lunch to work almost everyday. I have been using old wal-mart and target sacks to carry my lunch in, but I would much rather carry my lunch in one of these cute sacks! Plus it will fold up nicely to fit in my purse to actually make it back home at the end of the day unlike when I carry an actual lunch box. Okay, now I really need one! :)
AND a magazine subscription to either Southern Living or Marie Claire, winner's choice.

I love both of these magazines!

To enter please leave a comment telling me why and when you started blogging and if you don't have a blog tell me why you read blogs.
I will pick the winner via random integer tomorrow at noon. Good luck!

  1. LOVE IT!!! Totally need this, since I bring my lunch to work everyday as well.

I started blogging in 11/07 b/c I finally resigned to the fact that I wasn't a scrapbooker. I thought blogging would be the perfect substitute to post pics and stories about my family and keep my fam & friends updated.

  2. So cute! I'm bad about just grabbing whatever bag i have sitting around too. This is too cute!

I started blogging last fall. I started reading blogs and got really interested. Also, since my husband and I had just gotten married I thought it would be a nice way to document our lives so I could remember everything and have something to look back on :)

  3. So cute!! I take my lunch everyday - so this would be perfect!!

I started blogging the first of July this year!! So just a little over a month ago! I started in order to keep family and friends updated with all that is going on in our lives! Plus, it is great for us...because we can look back and see what we have accomplished together!

  4. Cute bag and I love Southern Living Mag!

I started blogging for my own sake so i could look back and remember our journey. But it also worked out well to keep our family who live far away up to date with us. And now it's turned into a awesome way to meet new people!

  5. I love this giveaway! I've been browsing Etsy for a black and white damask lunch bag for the past week and haven't made the plunge yet-hopefully I can win your contest!

I started blogging earlier this year because I wanted to make some changes in my life. I want to be healthier and happier. I think it's a great outlet and I love the community!

    Have a good day!

  6. OoOoO! Those are TOO cute! :)

I started blogging in February right before my wedding! I had been reading a few people's blogs for awhile, and thought it would be a great way to make new friends and to remember our first few years together as newlyweds! :)

  7. Love the bag!

I started blogging this year to write about my experiences starting a new graduate school program myself and dating a medical student. I don't know what adventures we'll come across - but I assume they'll be interesting :)

  8. I love that bag!! So exciting!

I started blogging in February, about 7 months after my divorce. I needed an outlet for my emotions that wouldn't "talk back" so to speak, somewhere I could just vent and get things out, and then walk away. It has been the best thing for me, and I am so happy to have such a wonderful support community as well!

  9. Best Giveaway!!! So excited about this one!
I started blogging in 2007, because I was reading a lot of blogs and I thought it would be less creepy if I had my own instead of just reading them all day. Plus I enjoy writing.

  10. definitely a giveaway I am interested in! I'm a lunchtaker as well!

I started blogging October 08. I was always sending everyone emails of pictures of what we were up to or articles and recipes that I thought they would be interested in and everytime I'd go through my email addresses hoping not to leave anyone off! My mom and Megan had got me hooked on blogs and my sister started one so I just decided to go for it! This way there would be a central place that everyone could come to and see what we were doing.

  11. Cute lunch bag!

I started a blog 10/2008. I did it to motivate me to take more pictures and remember the little things about life, such as a great recipe or something someone said.

  12. What a fun giveaway! Maybe if I won, it would inspire to bring my lunch and not spend so much money on going out every day!

I started blogging about 6 months ago because I wanted to write, but I didn't want to write anything personal for fear of getting in trouble at work!

  13. what an adorable lunch sack!

I started blogging about 6 months after my husband deployed..and it has just continues after he got home. It is a way for my family and his family to stay up to date with our children and its a way for me to meet amazing women!! I love IT! :D

  14. I'm so excited!!!!!

I started blogging December of 2006. I needed an outlet, a place to dump all that went through my head on a daily basis. I first started by reading a few blogs and thought, wow, I could do this. Once I started, I didn't/couldn't stop. I blogged about anything and everything. I now use it as a journal. I have to have two due to my husband's ex wife. I love keeping people updated and I enjoy keeping up with other people.

  17. Cute giveaway!

I started blogging in November of last year because I just really wanted to get my thoughts on paper (or on the computer?). It's also a great way for me to stay in touch with friends and family who I don't live near. I love reading blogs and learning about people's lives. Plus it makes for a great way to meet new blogging friends and get ideas, recipes, or advice. I just love it!

  18. What a nice giveaway! I started blogging 02/09. The only blog I was reading at the time was Kelly's Korner and was really inspired by it. I think it is a GREAT way to capture and share memories!! I love it!

  19. I'd love to enter - what a fabulous giveaway, thanks so much! I started blogging because I got a little puppy (Queen B) who had me up at 4 a.m. every morning which = TONS of free time! I started reading blogs in that free time and then started my own not too long after.

  20. What a great lunch bag!

I started blogging, because I wanted to be able to keep my husband in touch with my day to day life while he was deployed. However, I have found so many wonderful bloggers and ideas out there, that now I use it for inspiration in my own life!

  21. Oh, this is fun! I started blogging because I was a blog stalker for about a year, and I finally decided I needed to be part of the addiction, er, conversation, instead of a just a lurker! And thank goodness, because I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  22. cute bag!

I started reading blogs and just decide one day that I really want to have one of my own.

  23. I'm never the winner for these things, but I'm going to take a chance!

I began blogging in November of 2008 due to the distance between my family, and our extended family. We're states apart and seldom see each other. Considering how close we all are, it's pretty difficult. Blogging has turned into a real blessing, since not only can I share with my family the daily activities of the children, but I've met some wonderful people.

It won't hurt that once we're living in Tokyo, the distance being greater, we'll have a way to stay in constant communication. Family is everything to me, so the blog has become a very valuable tool in my everyday life.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I started blogging in March of 2009. I was getting married and thought it would be a fun way for my family and friends to keep up with our wedding plans. :)

  25. why did i start blogging, eh?

i just graduated from college (during an economic depressing, none the less) and since I was the first college grad in my family - I felt like I never really had any TRUE outlets to speak out to about my frustrations with shitty career services departments & student loans. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I got such a positive response from people that I started writing about everything around me, while obviously keeping updated on the job search. Now that I've achieved my goals & gotten a job, I credit a lot of my sanity to my blog.

    xoxo

  26. I love the lunch bag! I started blogging as a way for my family to keep up with my life.

  27. The bag is so cute. I don't blog anymore too many people were reading way too far into what was being written but I love checking around and finding other people's blogs to read.

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOVE THIS!! I use the old Wal-mart plastic bags too. Then they end up being thrown away and my husband gets onto me for not being "green".

I first started blogging on 6/5/08.
I have this fear of being vulnerable and don't really sit down and think about myself very often. I started blogging to learn hot communicate my feelings and be vulnerable without worrying how I sounded to everyone.

By the way, love your blog and am a new(and hooked) reader!

When I first started blogging I had no clue what to do or what to blog about, but thanks to you and your blog post (About getting backgrounds) I finally discovered some pretty marvelous things! Thanks so much- with out you I have no clue what I would have done!

I started blogging almost a month ago, so pretty recently! I had been reading blogs for awhile, and was becoming hooked. I decided it'd be way more fun (and less creepy ha!) if I started my own. And it's quickly turned into a fun addiction, great way to keep in touch with friends and family around the world, and meet new blog friends! :)

  34. I have had my eye on these lunch sacks for years and have never bought one! I started blogging about 5 years ago on Xanga as a way to keep in touch with friends. Since my hubby and I have moved 4 times in the past 5 years, it has been a great way to stay connected and keep our loved ones up-to-date on what is going on in our lives.

  38. I first began reading Pioneer Woman's blog because I was fascinated with her photography and recipes! I have since then happened upon great blogs about fashion and just life in general! I enjoy learning about other people that I would have never known about in my life if it weren't for blogs. Once I finish school and have time I plan to start my own blog. I could really use this lunch box because I bring my lunch everyday too! I love your blog, thank you so much for sharing your life with us!

  41. Adorable lunch bag! Maybe with a cute bag like this I'll bring my lunch to the office more often and stop wasting $$ and calories by eating out at lunch.

I actually just started blogging about a month ago. I've really enjoyed following the blogs of a number of witty women, so I thought I'd see if I enjoyed writing my own blog as much as I enjoyed reading others' blogs. Turns out, I do! I still have a lot to learn about blogging, but I'm looking forward to the adventure.

  44. How cute! I would love to enter.

I started blogging this past November. Working in the journalism field, naturally I thought it would be another great writing outlet. I love blogging and getting to know others and sharing ideas, while also being able to use it as a fun creative hobby.

  45. Such a cute lunch bag! I keep toying with the idea of buying one but just haven't yet made the plunge. I would love to win this!

I don't yet blog, but I LOVE reading them. I began reading them as a quick break from my long work days, but now I'm addicted! I have learned great beauty tips as well as have been turned on to some really cute clothing lines that I didn't know of before.

  46. I started blogging this past spring because I thought it would be a good way to stay connected to my family and to meet some new "friends". One surprising aspect of blogging is that it is a creative outlet. When I am thinking of things to write, I find that I am noticing the positive aspects of my day more than I might have otherwise. I like to read other blogs because it is interesting to see what other people "do". I think of reading blogs as an equivalent to reading People magazine -- it is addictive to peek into the goings-on of other people and relate to the human experience!

  47. Hello! The lunch sacks are so adorable, I can't tell you how much I would love one!

I only recently started blogging on blogspot, but previously blogged on Myspace. I started my recent blog because I love reading other blogs, and figured I might as well jump on the band wagon.

I blog just as an outlet for things that are happening in my life, and to keep friends and family updated on my daughters!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't have a blog, but I started reading my sister's blog to keep up with her busy life since she lives far away. I've since branched out and read some other blogs; I just find it interesting to get a peek into other people's life (not in a stalkerish way though!!).

  53. I started blogging after dealing with infertility for 2 years. I needed some place to just post my thoughts and wanted to let our friends and family know what was going on without having to tell the same thing 100 times.

Even though I'm a stay at home mom I could use this for snack while we are out! How cute!!

  54. I don't blog, but I LOVE reading others. It reminds me that I'm not so weird! Other people think the same way as me! It's like that CS Lewis quote: "We read to know we're not alone." I'm sure Mr. Lewis was talking about quality literature, but I think it speaks about blogs too! :)

  55. What a great giveaway! I love that lunch bag...my lunch currently gets carried to work in a plastic bag. This is way cuter!

  72. Yay for giveaways :)

I started blogging in January '08 because I was way into reading other people's blogs! I wanted to comment and feel like I was a part of the crowd since I already knew so much about these people since I read about their lives every day! I've loved "meeting" so many great women through blogging, and I have encouraged many of my own friends to start their own blogs!
