Warm and Cozy

Ty was determined to start a fire for the first time in our house. I guess last year he was too focused on school to think about using our fireplace. Not the case this year. We ran to the store and bought wood and marshmallows.


Nuts wanted in on the action.



I'm listening to the fire crackle right now. It's perfect.

  4. We have a fireplace in our apartment and now that it's winter, we have started lighting it almost every night when we get home. The flames can completely hypnotise you for hours. So cozy and comforting :)

  8. ahh the fire place is what I miss most about the house I grew up in! I told hubs I have a few requirements for our next house. First is the fire place above all else. Then a yard. then a big front porch. I never had one...

    we have a fireplace but we didn't use it our first fall/winter either. hopefully we'll get to use ours during year 2 too :)

  18. Guys are so funny about fires. My husband can not wait to start our first one this year! It is definitely nice to have it going. I might need to make a run to the store for some marshmallows!

  19. I would love to have a home with a fireplace when we buy one to light on cold nights... never mind that we live in florida and would only be able to use it about 5x a year. They are wonderful!

  21. I MISS our fireplace! The house we live in now is an old house and doesn't have one - my husband could really build the fires and I loved to just stand in front of it and warm up or lay on the couch and just watch and listen to the fire crackle. Enjoy! :o)

  26. I was just telling the hubs last night how I wished we had a fireplace. Alas, we live in Florida and I fear it would never be used. I miss living up north. : )

  28. I once paid 30 extra dollars a month for an apartment with a fireplace, that I didn't use once in a year and a half. Kudos to you, and cute dog too! Enjoy.

    And since I don't have one in my apartment-I bought woodwick candles because they do the trick to hold me over.
