bows and dry shampoo

I was at a great TJ Maxx today and ran across this china:


It is the Vera Wang Love Knots collection. The store had 4 dinner plates and 4 dessert plates. I actually put them all in my cart, but don't worry Ty I put them back! I really don't need anymore plates right now and if I'm going to buy china I need more than 4 pieces. This is me, trying to convince myself that I don't need them. Although, if I happen to stop by tomorrow and they still have them I might call it fate! I did buy a compote that was in a taped box within another box. I didn't open it until later and it has a crack in it, so I do have to go back tomorrow....

I have been wanting to try dry shampoo for a long time. I used to have oily hair that I had to wash daily, but in the last 6 months my hair has changed and I can go 2 days without washing. I love the mornings when I don't have to wake up earlier and wash my hair, then blow dry, straighten, etc. I want to make my hair last one more day. This is where the dry shampoo comes in. I wasn't sure what brand I wanted to try, so I kept putting off buying some. Then someone {sorry, I can't remember who--if it was you let me know, so I can give you credit!} blogged about batiste dry shampoo.
It is sold at Sally's and is around $7.
It. is. amazing.

It gives me more volume and takes away that gross feeling of unwashed hair.

    I've never tried dry shampoo, and have always wanted to! When I straighten my hair, it takes forever, so I like to go a couple days with it..but mine looks oily after 2 days. I'm going to have to check this out!!

    it takes me forever to go through the whole blow dry/flat iron process so i always try to make my hair last a few days but i have never tried this! i am going to have to look into it soon!

    I've been wanting to try it for so long, but there are so many different brands I was overwhelmed with what I should get and whether I really needed the expensive stuff from Sephora. Good to know I can at least give it a try with a $7 bottle and see how that goes!

    I normally wash mine every day, but couldn't agree more and the fews times I make it last two days ... And love not having to do it! I am going to have to check this out!!

    I am definitely going to TJ Maxx this weekend! I love that Vera Wang China.

    Also, I love, love, love dry shampoo. I haven't tried that brand, but I have the Oscar Blandi Pronto from Sephora. I actually think my hair looks better the day after washing when I put this in it!

    Oooh I have been trying to find good dry shampoo. I used to use Bumble and Bumble but they changed it and the new version I didn't like. I'm going to have to try this.

    I am the same way about china & even every day dishes! I would have a whole house full if I didn't practice some serious restraint!

    And - it was me who reviewed the dry shampoo! So glad you like it. Isn't it the biggest time saver ever?!?!

    I tried the Tuscan Chicken meal last night. I cooked the chicken too fast, so it was a little crispy. The boy ate every bit of it though and even told his roommates how good it was! Thanks again for sharing :)

    I've never heard of dry shampoo but I am so going to have to get some! I used to wash my hair every single day because I felt like it got so oily sooo quickly but (after the little ones not quite everyday=)) but I'm trying to do better about giving it a couple days. I've only tried baby powder and I never feel like it works, I just look goofy. I'm definitely going to have to get it! Thanks=)

    I've never tried dry shampoo either! It looks fab! I get so fed up of drying my hair in the morning...

    When I bought that dry shampoo from Sally's for the first time, the sales associate informed me that the strippers use Batiste to keep their hair extensions clean. I still bought it.

    I'm going to have to try it!! I only wash my hair every other day, but sometimes on the second day it feels kind of gross, and I would love to make it feel better. I have been using baby powder too!

    I think you should have got the china! :-) I tried dry shampoo when I was in the hospital and coudln't get out of bed to shower and it did bad bad things to my hair. So I had a bad experience. But I am guessing this stuff is better than the dry shampoo they give you in the hospital.

    I have tried another brand of dry shampoo called "Pssssst" but ended up going back to my old faithful: a little Crabtree and Evelyn Jojoba powder on my hairbrush for those non-washing days!

    We didn't register for China because I didn't think we'd use it and because I have my grandmothers, but there are so many beautiful patterns and I love dishes and glasses so I wish I had. I LOVE dry shampoo. I've been using Rockaholic, but it's $20-$30 a bottle, so I am SO going to have to check out Batiste. Have a great weekend!

    I finally got around to going into Sally's (funny enough, after I was in the TJ Maxx/Home Goods next door) and picked this up. I get my hair cut and straightened this Friday so I'll have to give it a first try on Saturday or Sunday- can't wait!
