Traffic Jam

I live in the 2nd biggest city in my state. Now, this is not saying much. The population is 384,037. We don't really have rush hour traffic or traffic jams. Yes, traffic slows down and gets congested but it is not what I would call bad traffic. It normally takes the hubbers and I around 12 minutes to get home. Yesterday it took 45 MINUTES!! It was ridiculous. We got off the expressway because it was at a standstill. We then turned down the road by the fair grounds. Bad decision, considering the state fair is going on. Oh, and some lady almost ran into us trying to get to a sandwich shop. She must have been hungry!
I'm not sure either one of us could survive in a city any bigger than this. We are both grew up in the same small town. I'm talking SMALL. We didn't and still don't have any stoplights.
I wanted to take a picture of him driving home yesterday, but I felt that if I did he might throw my camera out the window. For some reason I really like taking pictures of him driving. He has a good profile!

I'm trying out some new backgrounds. I figured I am decorating my house for fall, why not my blog? Just ignore me. I get bored easily with the same background, so I like to change it up. I am still browsing for something new so this may not be the background you see the next time you come back. What can I say--I like to change things up!

  3. I love the new background! So cute! Traffic makes me scream. I have a serious issue with road rage. I would NOT have been a happy camper in your shoes yesterday!

  4. LOVE the new background. I change mine quite frequently as well so you're not alone.

Traffic jams stink!!! And I'm in a big city so it can get rather nightmarish. Sometimes I listen to opera and it calms me down. If I don't calm down I end up screaming very ugly things at people. Who can't hear me anyway, but it sort of makes me feel better. (o:

  8. Isn't it funny how you just get used to where you live? I live in the 5th/6th (depending on the year) biggest city in the country, and I think I'd go insane if I lived somewhere too much smaller. I'm lucky that I have no commute, and haven't for a long while. Even my husband only has a 10 minute drive to work on a very low traffic freeway.

I change my blog like every two weeks, so I hear you on getting bored, LOL!

  10. Love love love the new background! And I feel your pain. It takes me no more than 15 to 20 minutes to drive to work during non-rush hour times. But every morning it turns into 45 minutes. Darn school buses.

  11. I know how that is... we live in a small town, but it's tourist down over the summer and I get so sick of the tourists and all of their sudden stops for the amish people along the road!! (And thanks for your opinion on my pictures... I really couldn't decide and everyone is picking the color one)

  13. First, thank you for your sweet comment, I could kiss you! I've been feeling really old lately. Someone even called me ma'am recently! Eeek!!

Traffic...I know how that feels. It stinks! On a good day, it takes me 30-40 minutes. And I only live about 20 miles from the office. Sheesh!

Will be looking for your new changes!
