I am going to NYC in April for a conference. I just registered for it and they have some special events taking place a few nights. I need to decide if I want to participate in them soon. One of the events includes a really good price to see Mamma Mia! on broadway. I think I will be signing up for it. I know that April is a long ways away, but I am a type A planner. I just want to have an idea of things that I want to do. Luckily, this conference does offer a lot of time to explore the city. So, if you have been to NYC tell me what I have to do, see, eat, etc. What was your favorite thing? Best place you ate? I could go on and on and on. I feel very overwhelmed planning this trip. I'm extremely excited for it, but I feel like there is just so much to do and I don't even know how to begin to narrow it down. I just know that some of you are going to have some great places for me to visit. Thanks!!

That'll be so much fun, and I'm just like you. I'm so type A that I would want to plan it out and make sure that I could get the most out of my time in NYC. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help but I can't but sound like a great time to be had!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.....email me your email address (milltiniNYC@gmail.com) and I will give you a whole LIST of things that I always send to people whenever they ask me what they should "see" and "do"....I have plenty of ideas for you ;-)
ReplyDeleteNYC is one of my most favorite places on earth. Ah, I love it. You MUST get a slice of cheesecake from Carnegie Deli. Oh gracious - what an experience. And, oh wait, you don't like cheesecake do you? Crud. Well, go there anyway and get a sandwich. All NYC delis are quite unforgettable. Do all of the touristy things - statue, ellis island, etc. just so you can say you saw them. Plus, they're really neat. Ummm. Take a taxi. You can't be in NYC without hailing a taxi. Take all the tours you can with good tour guides. Oh, you will have so much fun. SO MUCH! I have been 3 times and seriously would go every year if I could. It is amazing.
ReplyDeleteyou should go!!! i am so jealous... you will have SUCH an incredible experience! can't wait to hear all about it in april :) i am just like you...i have to plan ahead!
ReplyDeleteGirl I don't think its to early to plan for an April trip. We are considering a trip to NYC in October and I have already started trying to make plans.

I live in NYC and would be happy to to help you plan! There are lots of great little local restaurants I love as well as really good bakeries, and touristy things too! Email me at confectionateblog@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteYou should absolutely go to Mamma Mia! I'd take the advice of a New Yorker! I know a little, but not nearly enough like they do!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great. NYC is awesome.Go see a show on B for sure. The food and shopping can't be beat.I would try to go to a tv show filming. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteLinds-My mom and grandma went last year for Shopper's Weekend. There were there 4 days, 3 nights. I think one show is plenty. You must go have a margarita at Trump Tower and eat at Bobby Flay's restaurant. Oh and my mom LOVED Ellis Island. Other than that I'm sure there are TONS of fun things to do, but those were my mom's favs. Mom and I are going next Fall...I would also love to see what Milltini sends you...let me know what all you discover!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the tips! I'm going to hopefully get one made this weekend! I had foot surgery this morning so I will have plenty of time! Right now, I'm catching up on Movies and TV! ;)
ReplyDeleteNew York City - I am so excited for you! I have never been there, but I would say you have to go to Mamma Mia!!! That will be so great! I can't wait to see your pictures! I will be counting down with you!
This is great news!!! I heart NYC and go there quite often. My cousin does graphic design at the Today Show. I think she will still be on maternity leave but I could maybe get you tickets to the taping of today show, snl, conan or something. I have TONS of places to eat. I can send you a blog link of some things I've posted.
ReplyDeletehmm... I havent been to NYC for a long time. The last time I went was two months before the twin towers crashed. We went to the very tip-py top. It was so creepy to look down.. I do rememeber that we ate some really good italian food.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to NYC! :( But I do know when I go I want to go to Serendipity - like in the movie!
ReplyDeleteIt might be silly or a bust, but it just seems whimsical! I can't wait to hear about all the things you do!!
Go shopping in Soho - it is not near as busy as Times Square and they have such good shopping! (I especially love H & M!) SO jealous! I love New York City!
